In 2019 ODICE reorganized two of its production shops on lean manufacturing lines. This large-scale project was part of the production process continuous improvement programme and meets the criteria for process quality and mastery.
The physical flows were reviewed with all the staff concerned in order to improve the working environment, facilitate the mobility of goods and adjust incoming and outgoing stocks.
We included the principle of a production line made up of interchangeable « modules » in order to increase our reactivity to profile changes and take the specific demands of our customers into account. This also enables us to improve our rapidity in terms of equipment interchangeability for preventive and curative maintenance operations, an area currently in the full throes of development.
Lastly, we took advantage of this major operation to equip ourselves with state-of-the-art facilities for automatically piloting the cooling of flexible and rigid extruded products. The integrated two-loop proportional control system enables us in fact to fully master the cooling of our profiles from the extrusion die to the application of the adhesive. This adaptive and non-aggressive installation guarantees our products meet the technical requirements and ensures faultless process reproducibility whatever the working environment.
This successful reorganization has enabled us to go full steam ahead with our development and perpetuate our determination to offer our customers high quality products with production equipment that is ever more efficient and fully mastered, in accordance with the dynamic team spirit peculiar to ODICE.
