How to insure a free air flow ventilation and effective fire protection?

  • To provide sufficient ventilation air flow in a building or in a train and, at the same time to insure the fire protection, we recommend to use the fire resistant air transfer grilles VENTILODICE.

These fire resistant air transfer grilles are developed to allow the free circulation of air at room temperature through construction elements (walls, doors, partitions etc.) while at the same time offering effective protection against flame in case of fire.

VENTILODICE grilles are used in fire resistant doors and walls of car parks, central heating rooms, machinery rooms, cable tray systems, partition wall in trains etc.

When the grilles are exposed to fire, the intumescent profiles expand under the effect of the heat (starting at very low temperature ≈ 100°C) and prevent flames from passing through.

VENTILODICE grilles have been tested according to:

    - EN 1364-5 (new European standard for fire resistant air transfer grilles),

    - EN 1634-1 (fire resistance and smoke control tests for door and shutter assemblies),,

    - EN 1364-1 (fire resistance tests for non-load-bearing elements. Walls),

    - GOST 30247.1-94 (Elements of building constructions. Load-bearing and separating constructions).

The fire resistance performances which have been reached in official fire tests are EI-30, EI-60, EI-90, EI-120, EI-150.

VENTILODICE grilles are available in rectangular shapes (Ventilodice V) from 100mm to 600mm and circular shapes (Ventilodice VC) from 100mm to 400mm.
